If you are writing your own articles to promote your business and it's products or services, then ask yourself the following questions.
Have you thought about how much time you spend creating good titles for your articles so that readers and publishers will enjoy viewing them?
Do you find yourself having a hard time with developing the main body of your article and then tossing in the title with no real thought put into it?
If you are doing this then I strongly suggest that you do your utmost in understanding what many publisher guidelines are when submitted online articles.
If you follow these simple guidelines and understand them, you will have an easier time you are writing your business articles to be posted online.
Article titles should not be too short nor should they be too long. If it is too short, your readers will just glance at the title and form their own idea of your writing, so when possible use more then two words within your title. If the title is more then 100 characters, look at a better way to bring that count down to fewer than 100.
Do not make the title promotional, which means never put the name of your business, products or services or your website within the body of your title. Keep that information mainly at the end of your article.
Using too much punctuation is never a good thing in your title. However if you like to use those only use one question mark or exclamation point. It’s over kill and it looks unprofessional. Also never end your title with a period. A period cause people to pause and what you want is for them to continue on and actually read your article.
If you are writing a lot about similar topics, make sure that your titles are always different from another. Repetitive titles or articles show that you are not being creative and it shows signs of being lazy and uncaring about you are actually writing about.
Your headline is one of the most important parts of your article other then the content. Spending time in creating a good title will help you finish your content while avoiding anyone from being turned off before even deciding to read about your business and it's products and services.
